We’re pleased to present to you the first EP of Maytra ! After his contribution on La Mamie’s Trip Vol. 2 and all the years he spent behind our speakers... It's time to share the love.

Born in a little village in the East part of France called Yutz, it didn't take long before he moved to discover new horizons. While studying in Colombia in 2018, he bought his first Maschine. The mountainous scenery evoked nostalgic memories in him, feelings which he quickly turned into deep house sonorities.

After spending two years in Paris in 2019 and “countless beautiful Saturday afternoons” at our parties at La Ferme du Bonheur, a connection between the label and the artist was born. On this piece of land, Maytra witnesses celebration of life, freedom and music he loves. The actual collaboration will come a few years later.

In between, he flew to Berlin as he was always intrigued by this environment and its many comforting aspects. He discovered a new approach to music and club culture, hanging out with producers’ friends like Cody Currie, Ziggy Zeitgeist, Jasper Sala...

“Agitation” is Maytra’s first solo project. It takes its inspiration from Kyle Hall, Hugo LX or Hannah’s deep house. The result is a 5-tracks EP, with some club-oriented and more relaxing tunes, led by smooth, lush synths chords and soulful grooves. Mainly produced during lockdown, the project took some time to mature, before Aloo From Rome added her very unique voice on “Inner Peace”. This feature completes the vibrant energy pattern, to be found all along the EP.
