Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2009, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, through Skankandbass Introducing we release a series of free download singles which aims to spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

As drum & bass continues to blossom in the USA, we travel across the pond for SNB097 and recruit Mikael Oganes aka AIRGLO. Originally from Eastern Europe but now based in Los Angeles, AIRGLO quickly become one of the brightest talents in a burgeoning dnb scene. With previous releases under his belt on Onyx, ProgRam, Rebel Music, Dance Concept and Space Yacht among others; he demonstrates his superb musical prowess on S&B Introducing with the sublime two tracker ‘The Song / Desert Heart’.

Reasons was made back in 2020 during lockdown and after playing it for the first time at Rampage coming home I received so many messages about what song this was.

Fast forward a few years and after many requests from you guys i have decided give the song a re-lick for a better sound and release it into the world.

A song for the dancefloor surely, but also packed with emotions on the breakdown.

im releasing/promoting this song completely on my own so any form of support would be extremely appreciated💕

Nothing brings us more joy at the Kingdom HQ than when we get to work closely with one of our own residents on a release that showcases every single reason that we hold them so close to the label, and ERRORs Thunder EP is no exception.

This body of work is one of our proudest yet, every time we get a track through from ERROR we jump to the ceiling with joy as we just know its gonna be 100% raw, wonky and as true to himself as always. ERROR is without a doubt one of the most unique producers in the entire jump up scene, constantly pushing the boundaries of his sound design to see how weird and sinister he can make his tracks, and he never fails to outdo himself.

This 4 track EP draws for every single aspect of this, we have the title track "Thunder" which involves a haunting female vocal and a ground shaking drop to set the pace of the release perfectly, "Lights Out" has been doing the round for months, with a dark wobbly drop capable of blowing all the lights in your studio and a switch wet enough to call for an instant wheel up in the dance. "Hobnob" is the perfect balance of his signature 50/50 melodic/grott side, which we have seen on previous releases from him on the label, and closing off with "Rudeboy" with good friend Yuki - which draws for a Looney esque drop straight after one of the most iconic samples known to the scene.

We are SO proud to present you with this unique body of work and we just know you're gonna love it.
