I can't describe the feelings I had last weekend at our second Buschtanz...it was just amazing! Seeing all our friends having a good time and feeling the music is exactly the one thing, that motivates us to go on with what we are doing! We're looking forward to the next Buschtanz!

Joseph Disco’s early education in beat science came as a resident DJ in Cologne’s legendary club Playground, where his regular opportunities to manipulate the dancefloor like a puppeteer quickly drew him into the sphere of music production. Shortly after returning to his native Munich in 2005, he released his first project on the label: Great Stuff Recordings, and later on labels like Stil vor Talent and Platform B, both as an solo artist and with different projects. With his name established amongst electronic aficionados, Joseph has gone on to entrench himself on the scene as a steadfast proliferator of high-quality NJ works. Sporting an ever-growing cadre of solo releases and remix work on a multitude of labels, Joseph Disco has only given a tantalizing taste of his true potential.

✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

Metal, Hardcore, Metalcore, Rock and everything else with heavy guitars in it :D

✔️What makes good "afterhour"?

Really good people around me, a Spezi and fresh socks!


✔️ Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?

I'd say it's a 'classic Intaktogene set' - lots of basslines, lots of melodies, quite some vocals but always driving.  I play what I missed the most on dance floors. Music with melodies that touch the heart and a bassline finding it's way right into your bones. Making your feet move even if you're exhausted. 

✔️ What was your experience of the set you recorded?

I love playing at Rote Dichte, it brings together so many different people and I have the sweetest encounters every time. Last year a couple came up to me saying in 25 years of raving they have never cried until my set because it touched them so much. They were there again this year and even brought me a little gift. HOW Sweet is that!

People feeling what I feel whilst I play means the most to me because first of all it's exactly what I try to do 'Musik mit Herz und Wumms' (Music with Heart & Oomph). Secondly - it's so special when there is a floor full of completely different people,  all feeling the same thing for one moment. If we had more of that in the world, many problems would be solved so much easier
