Whew...it’s been a long while since I put something together that I've felt like sharing. For those that know what happened, thanks for being patient. Anyways, up until now, I’ve mostly considered myself a “Bass” DJ (of the funky variety). A couple weekends ago, however, it finally hit me that I should be playing house (thanks Reflect and all the Seattle crews!). So, I went down a Beatport/soundcloud rabbit hole and started putting this together. Had already been dipping my toes into the funky house, so it’s maybe 25% tracks I already had, gotta love The Sponges for finally making me download some. 3rd time mixing it was the charm, and kind of a funny story there. 

In the process of moving to Seattle, I kind of lost all my gear and computers, tracks and all (Even my DJ Facebook page, but we won’t talk about that, please give it some love though https://www.facebook.com/mazurbeam).  Haven’t stopped downloading music since I’ve been here and was lucky enough for someone to gift me a simple controller (an old Pioneer WeDJ, thanks Stoney!!!). It’s helped me put tracks together and has pretty much kept me limited to simple EQ mixing.  Had planned on running through this mix one more time, but then I checked Sweetwater and saw they had the controller I’ve been eyeing back in stock and immediately said send it (got that ddj-800!!!!! So yea, I’ll be ready for you club layout) Anyways, that was a bad idea thinking I’d make a new cleaner version of this mix anytime soon, so this was done on the old controller and I guess is kind of my farewell to that thing. Gotta keep moving and start playing with all the new stuff I’m finding. Plus 4th of July is tomorrow and this should be a good daytime mix.  So yea I hope you enjoy, are enjoying, enjoyed it, or whatever.
