Here is my mix for the Paradise New York DJ Mix Competition for the chance to open for Jamie Jones @ Brooklyn Mirage on September 25th!!

This mix was recorded on 2 CDJ-900s and a Numark M6 4 channel mixer, nothing flashy or fancy just some smooth mixing. Recorded in one take without planning any of the tracks, I just turned on the gear and hit record.

This mix captures the deep and groovy vibe of an opening set, chill enough to warm up the crowd but with enough energy to keep you moving and set up Jamie Jones perfectly to headline the night.

Big shout out to Jamie Jones, Paradise Productions and everybody involved in this competition!! Best of luck to all the DJs!!

Primo- Paradise DJ Mix Competition

My track for the TPC: Summer Challenge 2 competition on r/TechnoProduction.

This track features a bunch of hardware and original sound design, starting with the kick, drums and hats coming from the Roland TR-8 and Microtonic.

- The white noise was recorded on my Samsung phone with a recording app which grabbed the noise from my central air condititoner in my house. 
- The Roland TB-03 was used to create the analog bassline / rumble.
- The Roland System-1 was used to create the hypnotic synth sounds.
- My voice was recorded through my Samsung phone with the same recording app for the air conditioner with a custom fx unit.

Deep, heavy and hypnotic vibe.

TPC: Summer Challenge 2 - Primø - Every Sound

Here is my track for the summer challenge with the focus on vocals.

This track was styled after the Matt Sassari / Ron Costa deep tech sound and has a deep and heavy kick, rumble and groove designed with Microtonic as the backbone. Some powerful synth and percussive stabs build the rhythm with the vocal taking the forefront.

The energetic and bouncy synth brings a hypnotic feel and pumping prime time vibe.

From hosting after-hours hot spots to club nights, college parties, music festivals, party promotions, radio shows, online video broadcasting shows,live club video broadcastings, DVDs, remixes, original productions and countless compilation mix CD's, Bobby's passion for music and the scene shines on.

Bobby Oddo is a NY born DJ and producer with a unique style of smooth, chunky tech house and deep house along with deep robust techno, who became highly involved in the electronic music scene in the late 90's. By the age of 17, he was buying crates & crates of records, turntables and equipment; and getting into clubs to meet the top DJ's. The music led him to all the hot spots like NYC, Toronto, Miami, D.C.,Chicago, Detroit and everywhere in between.

Bobby started his DJ career in 2001, and continues to evolve his style around underground music. After a decade of perfecting his DJ skills having a few residencies and club nights throughout the years in his hometown, co hosting an online video broadcasting radio show for 4 years,  and playing alongside some top name artists, he set his sights higher.

His appreciation turned into passion, and he quickly began holding residencies at small clubs and playing some huge college parties. Then in 2006, he began broadcasting live streaming video of his sets from the clubs, and co-hosting a weekly live video/live radio show to showcase his DJ talent to the world and was based with 3 different sites over the years, from Lincolnshire, England and Glasgow, Scotland . He also hosted underground parties from the legendary "Church." 

His uncanny knack for finding hot tracks and his smooth, impeccable mixing make him really stand out as an up & coming artist in the new age of digital music. 
After getting advice from many of the thousands of well known DJ's & artists that he met, worked with and played alongside over the years, his productions put him on the map with his first release; his remix of "Ricky Ambilotti- Construkt" on 3 Liquid Hz Records from Romania. It gained him worldwide support and stayed high up on the charts for more than a month after its release alongside well respected labels and artists like Toolroom Records and Pete Tong.


He then gained more experience in the studio from Point Blank Music College in London, and established his sound of deep, earth-shaking, rolling bass lines, hypnotic grooves rich in lush synth stabs and pads; soothing acoustic guitars; organic sax and brass instruments; rhythmic acoustic percussion weaved seamlessly with electronic drum machine madness; massive but subtle effects; and resonant vocal samples and chops.

During his recent experience playing alongside Sharam, he achieved sharing the stage with a very influential artist of over a decade.
It's as if life could be complete, but the adventure is yet to come. 2012 sees Bobby's World Podcast on iTunes; and as he takes the helm of Underground Audio, a business devoted to the underground house and techno scene.
