Owner of a style of Techno and original repertoire mixing, Daniel UM (Underground Minds) has been at the forefront of Brazilian electronic scene since the mid-nineties, when you defined your style by attending dance floors of underground scene as the Hell's Club in Columbia, Latin Club and Club Aloca. Daniel learned early the importance of having a great cultural background and logo helped create the collective "Underground Minds" which is the reason why he never gave up, with his constant and deep musical research, music, for him, was always a matter of feeling. From House to Techno, he developed a very close relationship with deep atmospheres, warm chords and melodies. On the other hand, he is able to balance these more dense sound waves that are minimalist and hypnotic, creating a personal brand of excellence. With his undeniable talent, he was able to win the residences of parties like the Wicked on Aloca Club, where he made memorable sets in afterhours fridays and monthly at Hell's Club, mixing songs from other artists dedicated to this techno -minimal -hypnotic atmosphere, and techouse. Also became monthly resident night Technova famous in Lov.e Club, where he shared a cabin with large national inspirations as Mau Mau and Renato Lopes and international like Heiko Laux, Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson and many others, and has played in major capital of Brazil. Daniel UM sets always been synonymous with high quality in electronic music, after all these years, however, he upgraded his skills as a DJ making it more than ever, with a direct connection to the dance floor. This ability to know the best driving repertoires according to the public was of course added to his technique of long mixes, which impresses from the public smallest to the most intense listeners. The number of memorable nights he touched is so great that it has earned a respected group of fans, producers to DJs and party organizers, becoming an example for the new generations of the electronic scene. All these qualities are enough to give that Underground Mind the opportunity to play anywhere on the planet. Daniel UM also devoted considerable time developing his production skills, its first partnership was with the project "Invisible Hands". More recently, he established a special partnership under the name Mentalhighs, the debut track "Destiny" released by the National Seal PaunchyCat reached international boundaries being played up by DJ Josh Wink. He currently plays monthly residence in Mothership party at Club D-Edge, and some designs for small parties, such as “Smaga” party in São Paulo, consolidating that music and quality are definitely the essences of Daniel UM.

Influenciado em ouvir artistas como Dee D.Jackson,James Brown,John Davis,The Beatles, etc...Pegou gosto pela boa música logo cedo.
Aos 13 anos começou a tocar bateria,tocou durante quatro anos na Igreja, onde aprendeu muito.
No final dos anos 80 começou a ouvir a House-music, onde começou a ter, uma nova visão musical,Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode,New Order,Lee Marrow,Inner City, etc...
Em 1990 começou a fazer festas de aniversário no bairro onde mora, como todo bom DJ começa! Aí começou a surgir festas em escolas onde durante dois anos lhe deram muita experiência.
Em 1993 teve sua primeira residência em uma associação de bairro, que se deu o nome de The Garage. Começou abrindo somente aos domingos, onde eram convidados DJs amigos para tocar.Tamanho foi o sucesso, que não tiveram outra alternativa a não ser abrir aos sábados também, e foi assim durante um ano e meio.
No ano de 1994 teve sua residência durante um ano, no Club Down Town.
Em 1995 juntamente com os amigos DJ Mimi, André Luiz e Tandy, abriram um club chamado Sub Mundo Club, onde funcionou durante seis meses.
Mas foi em 1996 pelas festas intinerantes do Latino Club, onde aconteciam em alguns locais diferente de São Paulo, que juntamente com seus amigos tive-
ram a idéia de fazer a primeira Rave da Zona Leste, em uma antiga casa de boliche. Como convidado tiveram o DJ Mau Mau, onde a festa foi um sucesso e assim aconteceram mais edições. Nesse mesmo ano teve programas em rádios da região.
Em 1997 foi chamado para ser residente de mais um club(Freedays Club), onde tocou ao lado de vários Djs da cena eletrônica Brasileira como, Mau Mau,Julião,Renato Lopes,Luiz Pareto,Andréa Gran, Paula, Lika Marks,Roger Rabbit,Tony Sapiano,etc...
No final de 1998 saiu do Club ,onde por um tempo parou de tocar, mas nunca deixando de lado a paixão pela musica eletrônica. Durante este tempo, fez curso de violão e percussão. Não resistindo ficar de fora da cena eletrônica, voltou a tocar em 2003 agora já com uma bagagem mais ampla de instrumentos musicais, começou a produzir música eletrônica onde de início já teve uma de suas músicas, (Varal Sonóro), lançada pelo selo BEC. Desde então já tocou em vários projetos, club, e tem o seu próprio projeto chamado( VIP), e também o mais novo projeto com os amigos, Alan Jones, André Luiz e Max que fazem a festa chamada SUPER AMIGOS que acontece a cada dois meses. Seu set é recheado de grooves, House, Tech_house,techno e minimal.
