Brave New World

Twinlights is a 1995 EP by the Cocteau Twins. It was released along with the EP Otherness as a teaser for the album Milk and Kisses. It is a mainly instrumental affair with allmusic referring to it as "being as close to an "unplugged" effort as the Twins ever got." The EP was originally released on CD as well as a 2x7" vinyl set.

The EP has four tracks, two of which were reimagined for Milk and Kisses ("Rilkean Heart" and "Half-Gifts"). "Pink Orange Red", which was released on the 1985 EP Tiny Dynamine, is a stripped down version of the original with a piano playing the melody and opening. "Golden-Vein" is the only track on the EP not to appear on any other release.

Elizabeth Fraser describes this EP as being about a man she fell in love with during the 1994 Four-Calendar Cafe tour. The mystery man has been speculated to be Jeff Buckley by Fraser's biographer but she has never confirmed or denied this. [1]

The song "Rilkean Heart" is a homage to Jeff Buckley who was a lifelong lover of Rainer Maria Rilke's work.

Hope you love this one as much as I do babes!! Wrote & recorded this my first month in Greece over a beat produced by Dan Darmawan. Honestly, I have no idea where "all my old friends" are & I know for a fact a lot of them did travel from hometown to go to college. Please, nobody take this song personally. I was just writing, and I really love this song. I've been wanting to post it since it finished, so yes had to clip the whole front intro off but wtvr here is a song you almost never heard & it's one of my top favorites so far <3 !!!!!!!!
[P.S. - Whether or not you go to college/ move from your hometown is completely your business! I understand everyone has different circumstances and obligations. It's your life, live it however you do; nobody else's opinion matters more than your own unless you belong behind bars or in an insane asylum. I don't want anyone to ever feel judged by this song because it doesn't shine light on/ reflect people who didn't have another option/ desired something else!]
