that I am tired of you.

When I wake up in the morning and no longer wish to kiss those tired eyes, or
when you tell me about your day but nothing in me wants to listen to your voice.

I have assumed this to be what is expected,
to love something entirely one moment
and grow so sickened of its honey, the next.

I will keep waiting, my love. To grow tired of your kisses, or laughing at the way you lose your temper in the evening. 

I will keep waiting for the disenchantment that follows after I have breathed in the air through your lips in the hopes of making it my own. 

They keep saying that time will come, 
but day by day, I am growing less convinced of them, 
and more convinced of you.
