This was self-recorded to make a demo tape, which we used quite often to book other shows. A highlight is Knock Yourself Out, which features a 332-hour solo by Billy, still one of the best sax solos anyone has ever heard. It was obvious at the time that the band was really starting to gel.

My Brother's Keeper was formed in 1995 in Champaign, IL, and featured a 10-person band with a 5-piece horn section. They quickly became C/U's hottest live act, selling out clubs after just their 1st show. The band played consistently through out the midwest (Chicago, St. Louis, Indianapolis) for the next 2 years. Shortly after releasing their only album, Shoulder To Shoulder (May 1, 1997 - Hammerhead Records), they split due to creative differences. The core of the band reunites every year or two for festivals.
