ABOUT THE SONG:
Matt wrote this song in less than an hour after being inspired by the Holy Spirit to write about the love Jesus Christ has for us. He submitted it into the BreakForth Alberta Artists Competition and placed in the top 10. One of his best works to date.

My name is Matt P. I live in Alberta, Canada. I am in Grade 11, and have been blessed with the God-given gift of creating music, and further more, the ability to write my own lyrics. Therefore, I am able to create new and unique compositions through the power and will of the Lord, and in turn will write more songs dedicated to Him and his genuine awesomeness and indescribable glory.

I know that I do not have an amazing voice, nor do I sincerely believe that I have a shot at "The Voice" by any means. I do believe, however, that God has blessed me with the tools and special talents and skill-sets for a purpose, and it would be downright stupidity for me to waste them! I have chosen to follow a path of musical production and composition for my future so I can bring glory and honour to the Kingdom of Heaven. To God be the glory. :)

Just so you all know, I don't have an elaborate studio with vast synthesizers and large computer monitors (as many of my peers seem to contemplate) as a part of my music station. Since I've started composing, I've been blessed to have the equipment that I have used to get my "feet off the floor" in terms of composing and sharing my music. I use Garageband '11 to compose, record, and produce my music; I have a beautiful mahogany-finished Yamaha Clavinova CLP-170 digital piano with a finicky USB midi plug as my main recording centre; I use a cheap (~$20) karaoke mic to record all of my vocals.

This song was composed for two reasons: 1, because it was a Drama project; and 2, because I was going through a spiritual battle between my human nature and my soul. As I composed this song, I felt God revealing to me what he wanted me to become; a composer. So I guess that this is my "changing track". Enjoy!

Welcome to the mbPohl Productions SoundCloud page.

My name is Matthew B Pohl. I am a mix-engineer-in-training with the desire to produce, mix, master, and compose for the glory of The One True King.

I operate out of my home using simple equipment. I edit using Logic Pro X and ProTools on a MacBook Pro, record vocals using a small selection of basic microphones, and have my Roland FA-08 Workstation at my side for the bulk of my synthesis work.

I am looking into broadening my production platform by recording with and producing for artists within the Central and Southern Alberta demographics, giving them a starting point to begin the distribution of their own content, with a preference to the Christian Contemporary genre, regardless of monetary intent.
