Outlaw Posse consists of Dj Kgee & Mc Bello.B who grew up in west london and met at Henry Compton School.Kgee started scratching to Grandmaster Flash records in the lab and Bello.B started rapping after staying with his family in the  South Bronx.Early material was put together in the lab.They both got their break after Bello.B met Richie Rich at Spin Off records in Fulham Palace Rd.The first critically acclaimed single by the Outlaw Posse was Original Dope taken from their first album My Afros On Fire.This seriously funky record was amongst the first to inject a jazzy mood into hiphop.
By 1990 Outlaw Posse had gained the respect of the hiphop community with their infectious live performances as special guests at the New Music Seminar Rap Showcase with the Jungle Bros & Queen Latifah on her Uk tour.Launched with the single Stop Negativity My Afros On Fire heralded a new status for rap out of the Uk and the humour of the album title attracted people from all genres and walks of life.
Its not only the public that responded to the pairs talents but also artists in the music industry namely Klf and All Saints.
After completing their third album My Afros On Fire Vol.2 with Gee St/Island records Kgee & Bello.B encountered some legal matters that never got resolved and decided to leave the label and now after 25 years the album is now available via bandcamp and dittomusic.My Afros On Fire Vol.2 is basically the continuation of the first album with some next level production by Kgee and potent lyrics from Bello.B.We apologise for the long hiatus but hope you will enjoy what should of been released in 1993 peace.
