Jay P is a Minimal MC/host from the South-West who is an up and coming talent to look out for. 
At the age of 31 Jay has notched up a very impressive CV of bookings ,  both as an MC/host and Vocalist on productions that would put many other MCs to shame. 
Hailing from Kingsbridge, in the South of Devon, Jay's MC talents have earned him bookings at well respected nights such as BIONIC , WESTFEST, HARDCORE HEAVEN,  SLAMMIN VINYL, DISTORTION, HARDCORE REBORN,  PREMONITION, ENERGIZED, SYSTEMATIC, HARDCORE  DEVON, RESISTANCE, BLAZED, WERE HARDCORE, PURE ENERGY, NEW DIMENSIONS ,HINDSIGHT ,HARD ENERGY ,TWISTED DESTINY ,CARNAGE ,SUMMIT FESTIVAL , UNDERGROUND FREQUENCY, HARD KNOX , CONTORTED, OLDSKOOLIN , LIQUID PULSE  ,HARD FUNKIN BASS and countless others.
Jay's roots in MCing lie from the hardcore/techno/trance of the mid 90's. Taking influence from other leading MCs in this genre (such as Smiley, Magika, Ribbz, Shocker, Charlie b
Jay developed his own MCing style and started to MC at house parties with friends after nights out, keeping his MCing as a modest hobby.
It wasn't until a friend informed him of an MCing competition in nearby area Plymouth, till the UK started to take note of this rising star. Although he only achieved a runner up place in this competition, he and the winner impressed the promoters so much that both of them were awarded a succession of future bookings at their nights and earned a residency 
Although Hardcore was what jay started out MCing to he found a new love for the harder styles (Hardstyle, Hard trance , Techno) This is due to his enjoyment of these styles and his keenness to branch out into other areas.
As well as his numerous bookings in Plymouth, Jay has also MC'd all over the country, MCing for all the main leaders of the scene and a lot of international artists
2011 saw jay get a bit more recognition from the scene for what he was doing with his minimal style and Bionic (who had already given him 2nd or 3rd room booking since 2009) decided to give him a chance hosting on their main stage alongside the most highly respected mc in hard dance MC Shocker. Since then bionic have booked jay to host alongside shocker at every event they have done since and 2012 saw jay go from strength to strength.
Jay has also been asked by BRIAN M & MCBUNN to be there official host since summer 2012 and they launched THE KEEP IT HARDSTYLE SHOW performing across the country an some dates booked in accross the globe.
It is getting to the point now in jays career where recognition is really taking place and well respected promotions and DJs are asking for his services
Jays highlight of his career so far has to be performing in the bionic arena at the mighty westfest (the UKs biggest underground hard dance event)
Jay has wrote an supplied vocals for a number of tracks over the last 5 year with various producers , and even got the track BASSLINE ROCKER produced by Swankie & Kashi to the number  1 spot for a number of weeks on the track it down top 100 hard dance tracks , he has more plan this year to write and record more vocals  for more producers ,2013 looks set to be just as good a year as 2012 for jay with lots of bookings already in the pipeline.
Jays view on being an mc is that it is all about the music and doesn’t like to overpower the DJ he is working with endless lyrics, short and sweet , less is more.
Jay-P has a very promising future , he is definitely an MC to follow for 2013/2014
