Biography.

Starting out in 1994 and at the ripe old age of 16 MC Nice and Easy found his way on to the Microphone at the legendary Goldiggers Night Club in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The night was called “Devotion” and the DJ was Slipmatt one half of the famous SLII duo. Devotion was one of the biggest weekly hardcore rave nights in the UK attracting revellers from all over the country. Being the resident MC gave Nice and Easy the chance to play alongside all the big names back in the day like Easy Groove, Peshay, LTJ Bukem, SY, Vibes, Ratty, Pilgrim, Ramos, Dougal, Supreme, Ramjack, Randall, Vinyle Groover, the list goes on and on. Working right up until the last closing night MC Nice and Easy even organised many Devotion Reunions which were a massive success. Nice and Easy started to become well known for his unique mix of styles that could get the hardest of crowds rocking to the bass lines. Moving to Bristol and moving towards the Garage and Hip Hop scene Nice and Easy became a resident MC in the back room of Oscars in Longleate working along sides Bristol’s biggest R&B DJ Ricky 2 Tuff and MCing for some heavy weight acts such as Trevor Nelson, Shy FX, and the Dream Team. Again he stayed at the club right until the end in 2003. 2004 saw the release of a tune called “Easy Inside” that was produced by south coast hardcore connoisseurs The Geos Crew and was released on Reloaded records and has been added to many different hardcore compilation albums featuring his vocals.

Since then Nice and Easy has been working more and more in the Old Skool and Drum and Bass arena and has appeared at larger rave brands such as Slammin Vinyl, Dreamscape,  Fantazia, Fusion, Hardcore till I Die and One Nation. In 2006 Nice and Easy took himself of to Thailand for a long 3 month break, this break turned into promoting and hosting a major Drum and Bass nights in Bangkok and then flying down to the island of Koh Phan Ngan and hosting the World famous full moon parties. Planning to only do January’s Nice and Easy ended up staying and rocking February and also March “ It was too good to miss” he said! Since then Nice and Easy returns every year and hosts the world famous New Years Eve Full Moon Party which attracts over 25,000 

Nice and Easy has held many local residencies over the last 10 years and loves working with his partner in crime DJ Clifty “We rock the venues every single week, and as we play hip hop, raga, garage and D&B I can use all my different styles and really show people what we are all about. 

Style

Having worked in many different music genres Nice and Easy’s style cannot be summed up in one or even ten words. He can host an R&B Club, freestyle to the garage and Drum and Bass, get you jumping to the Old Skool or shake it to the Ragga. Mixing an exciting blend of freestyle lyrics, beat boxing and famously voice scratching different sounds and words his set is always exciting and fresh.
He says; “ I took many different influences into my style including the simpleness and clarity of the master MC Ribbz and the MC Conrad and incorporated it with more hype jump up styles like that of MC Skibba and Fearless and other D&B MCs”. The result is an MC as versatile as he is unique.
