📖 About the song:
This song came during a road trip around Scotland this summer. I found myself saying to myself ‘I could live here’ almost everywhere I turned. Unspoilt natural beauty and wilderness everywhere. I combined what I had seen with thought processes and emotions about where I am in life. That feeling of having to do the right thing and carrying on with the life I have built, whilst struggling to realise it’s perhaps not quite what I thought it was going to be and maybe not what I really wanted after all. I got speaking to someone in Scotland who was walking the length of the UK and he said to me that sometimes you need to just put your pride to the side and do what you really want. That stuck with me and ended up forming the basis of the song. Perhaps if we could put our ego’s and pride to the side, then maybe we can push ourselves into those things in life we truly want to do.
