I APOLOGIZE FOR THE HORRIBLE QUALITY! SoundCloud automatically flagged this as being copyrighted and blocked it, so I had to resort to the "inverted average" method I use to get around YouTube's copyright filter.  It makes it sound horrible but at least it's still here!  I'll put a download link to the proper version at the end!  And now for the description:

Ever since I heard the song "Alone Again" by Alyssa Reid, I have really liked the chorus of this song.  I didn't realize it was originally a cover.  And I never really cared until- nah, not gonna make that joke.

But anyway, the song was recently released as DLC for Rock Band 3 on Valentine's Day (2012).  I bought it right away and listening to the multitracks, this song was absolutely beautiful without the "loud" guitars and drums.  This mix is only the vocals, keyboards, and some quiet bass.

And I actually made this song with a specific person in mind, these lyrics are so true about my feelings for her and I couldn't help but dedicate a song.  Yes, I realize I didn't do much "actual work" but hey, this is within a week of the song even being released in Rock Band, give me a break LOL

Yes, the song is sung by a girl.  But did you know that it was actually written by two guys? Heart's version is actually a cover of THAT version, but it's the one that became famous.  So it actually works just fine and doesn't really require gender-bending.

I was so moved by this recent tragedy in Santa Maria, especially in a country that represents so much to me, that I tried to bring some good feeling with my music. I was enamored and overwhelmed by a Gal Costa's song, that brought me peace and hope.
