Wonderful playing and poise, underpinned by an outstanding drummer. At five and a half minutes it's hard to cram this into my BBC Mixtape, but plan to give it my best shot. This band is quite something, the kind of playing and tightness you simply can't fake.

McCathy Vigil - Luxury Pets

McCarthy Vigil are five young cats in heat, playing intense jams. They began playing instruments at the same time in the same room as one another in 2010. Because of this, Andy Sutcliffe (Vocals/Guitar), Dave Oldfield (Guitar/Vocals), Jason Bagshaw (Guitar), Joe Robinson (Bass) and Chris Kellett (Drums), are able to make Alt-Rock/Prog-Pop, or whatever label you feel best describes them. They have played up and down the country to good strong crowds, in good strong venues with excellent support work (both a reference to their support of other acts and the general construction of buildings being outstanding).They are based in South Yorkshire and love each and every one of you.
