Paris is burning! And Eliott Litrowski lit the match with his latest EP for OOSSHA. The producer from France once saw the light in the famous Rex club in Paris but has a profound love for Dutch underground dance music. He previously released singles on Moustache and Bordello a Parigi and now debuts on Utrecht based SoHaSo sublabel OOSSHA.

On his Long Story Short EP, Litrowski combines the boldness of Dutch west coast electro with the flair and finesse of French techno, while throwing in a hint of sweet flavoured Italo vibes. A good example is Blind Pilot, which is both frivolous and funky.

Or jump the needle to Cereal Funk, where the dry hi-hats and wild arpeggio’s give more than a nod to Dopplereffekt, while staying in fourth gear. No wonder the track gets a remix treatment by Ed DMX, who turns Cereal Funk into a proper electro monster without losing the core futuristic elements. Long story short, Litrowski’s music is both playful, quirky and tailor made for clubs.

Playground Records is pleased to present “Swing Ride”, the 38th’s label reference by a dear friend of the house, the mighty Roe Deers. Almost two years after ‘Lazer in the Jungle’, his first vinyl release on our catalogue and with a bunch of hot releases on labels like Turbo Recordings and Futureboogie under his arm, the Lithuanian maverick is back with a brand new EP.

‘Swing Ride’ is a mysterious percussion song with crazy horns. It feels like the ‘Ship of Fools’ calling before setting sail, but It’s basically a club-ready track to be played in a proper dark and sweaty room.
‘Glass Around’ is a bit more raw, you might sense the expansive wave of a strong psychedelic punch. Finally, the third original track, ‘Autobahn 2002’, could work as a homage to the legendary German robots.

On the remix side, Multi Culti’s boss Thomas Von Party delivers a twisted narcotic version of ‘Swing Ride’, meanwhile Mexican geek ALF CHAMPION turns ‘Glass Around’ toward a dub-experimental mix.

‘Muy Duro’ flagship V/A series returns this year with his volumen 6, music from new and old souls around the world. Le Dame Noir’s Arthur Johnson give you the entrance ticket with "31SPCIAL", a locomotive ride loaded with a bouncy bass, steady percussions and sharp cymbals that drive you to the peak. It is followed by Cornelius Doctor’s "Zsa Zsa Can't Don't Cry", a metallic and playful percussion with a mix of unhinged and liberating synthesizers.

Changing the semblance are ID_UA & Berny with "Tutta La Notte", a broken beat cut. Its hypnotizing synths will make you descend into the deepest and sweltering of the night, the point where you never want to see the sunlight again. Colossio's "Regios", is the perfect soundtrack to transport you to the multidimensional plane where you don't know if there will be a return accompanied by wild and nutty gnomes or your entrance to the psychiatric. Guitar and synthesizer riffs that when entering the center of your head hypnotize you, distorting your neurons and reality.

To close the compilation is Alvaro Cabana’s "Adventures Under The Dome", ironically inspired by all the theories that circulate today about the "dome" that covers the flat earth. A mix of sounds that could be defined as Robot Disco and Trippy Bleepy Fun, alluding to the fact that no matter if the earth is round, square or an infinite multidimensional plane, we could choose to go through this life with the intention of not stopping to have adventures and positive experiences.

Electronic duo Pale Blue return to Crosstown Rebels with ‘No Words’, the second single from their forthcoming album  ‘Maria’, with remixes from DJ Tennis and Perel.  

Italians Do It Better founder Mike Simonetti and Silver Hands’ Elizabeth Wight’s rich and storied careers within the electronic realm  and beyond only elevated further with the launch of their Pale Blue project in 2015, unveiling a series of critically acclaimed releases  via Simonetti’s 2MR imprint with plaudits including Pitchfork, FACT and Resident Advisor, to name just a few. Having provided the first  look into their forthcoming album on Crosstown Rebels entitled ‘Maria’, scheduled for release on the label later this year, the pair  return to open March with the second single from the project, ‘No Words’ - accompanied by remixes from DJ Tennis and Perel.

“‘Maria’ is an album of love songs, and ‘No Words’ is the apex, so to speak. It is the Pale Blue version of a jacking house  track. The lyrics are intentionally sing-songs/nursery rhyme style to give it an even more minimal and fleeting feeling. It may  be the most optimistic song in our catalog.” - Mike Simonetti. 

Detailing the backstory to the record, Simonetti notes both upcoming single ‘No Words’ and the majority of the tracks on the duo’s  forthcoming album project were made on the exact synths used to create Jaydee’s iconic 1993 hit, ‘Plastic Dreams’. “A long time ago,  maybe twelve years, I answered a Craigslist ad of a person selling some synthesizers, and when I got to the house to buy them, it was  Jaydee of ‘Plastic Dreams’ fame. I ended up buying the two synths he recorded ‘Plastic Dreams’ on, and his custom presets were still  set up”. He adds, “I use his synths all the time and used them on almost every song on ‘Maria’. On ‘No Words’ especially, I used the  ‘Plastic Dreams’ sound from his actual synth”.  

Guided by a captivating bassline accented by Wight’s charming vocals, which flutter amongst the mix, ‘No Words’ is a hooky and  compelling production that ebbs and flows across its near five-minute duration with effortless ease, capturing the playful nature  alluded to by Simonetti. Life and Death head honcho DJ Tennis’ remix arrives next, veering down a hazy yet absorbing path as crisp  organic drums and engrossing melodies form around the vocals and journey through light and dark textures.

The B-side of the record belongs to DJ/producer, vocalist and DFA Records favourite Perel, offering a cosmic dive through spacey  synths, skittering bleeps and pops, and tough kicks across her take on the production - before distorting and warping the vocals and  shifting the emphasis on the ever-evolving electronics across her ‘Dub Version’.

Some records are answers to questions no one asked out loud. With Where is Acid Eric, Cornelius Doctor & Tushen Raï deliver a psychedelic missive from a parallel timeline — a time-traveling tribute to Goa’s golden age, filtered through their unmistakable signature.

Returning to their home base Hard Fist, the duo steps into new territory with this release, and yet, it feels like they’ve been heading here all along. This isn’t a retro-fetishist trip, nor a copy-paste homage. It’s a reimagination — of a sound, a space, and most of all, a spirit.

The EP is rooted in the mythic nights of late-80s and early-90s Disco Valley, where British acid house collided with Indian hedonism, where freedom wasn’t a pose but a necessity, and where dancefloors became temporary utopias. But in the hands of Cornelius Doctor & Tushen Raï, this past gets warped, stretched and reanimated with 2025’s tools and sensitivities.

Across three extended tracks, the duo summons a sound that’s dense yet breathable, tribal yet precise, nostalgic yet futuristic.
They weave Goa’s swirling trance lines with broken rhythms, analog squelches, and post-industrial textures. The acid lines are sharp, but never cliché — more mantra than gimmick. Voices float in and out like half-remembered chants. Basslines slide, hypnotize, and then vanish in a cloud of smoke. It's not a flashback. It's a vision.

The title, Where is Acid Eric, feels like a lost broadcast — part question, part invocation. Eric is a symbol. IS Eric a ghost ? The true legend of a forgotten raver on a dusty Anjuna morning. What matters is the search. The longing. The dance.

Hard Fist, true to its form, continues to blur the lines between ritual and rave, tradition and invention. And with this record, Cornelius Doctor & Tushen Raï don’t just revive a genre — they reconnect with an ideal: dance music as exploration, as transcendence, as resistance.

One foot in the dust, one foot in the cosmos. The answer isn’t important. The trip is.
