Over the last 6 years, Fitch has continually showcased his versatility and drive. His originals, collaborations (Hexl, GRVYRDS) and bootlegs (Oasis, The Killers, Kayne, Flume) have solidified him as a dedicated and talented producer. His fourth, and most substantial release on onesevenfour, the ‘Always EP’ embodies musicality, energy and uplifting vocal bliss.

Title track ‘Always’, in collaboration with Hexl, promptly welcomes the warm lead vocal from Riverine and arpeggiated hook. For what is a theme throughout the whole EP, uplifting drums, catchy synths and dancy basslines push through and take over for the body of the track. Ethereal vocals dance with the other musical elements to make sure this one will continue to be hummed well after it has finished.

Taking a casual step down into deeper tones, ‘Close Enough’ touches on heartfelt themes and emotions. Chords of light and dancing drums playfully connect with the vocals and carry the listener across two drops, the sparse and delicate breakdown, and into the track’s peaceful close.

The second collaboration of the release, ‘Mention’, with Jack Blom, is a nod to some of Fitch’s previous production style with a steppy drum pattern, chopped vocals, and distorted bassline. Logan M brings the lead vocal and classic Fitch synth lines provide a majestic vibe throughout the whole track.

Long time friends of Viper, Spanish duo Dub Elements are known across the globe for their versatile productions and memorable performances. 2021’s “Mindshaker EP” brought a healthy dose of neurofunk to Viper, and 2023’s offering brings something completely different.  

Teaming up with Kit Rice and Fokus, “Rave That Never Ends” is a radio-friendly summertime anthem, full of jubilant melodies and warm vocals. Beaming with sunny vibes, “Rave That Never Ends” stands in stark contrast with the duo’s previous release, offering sultry liquid funk vibes from start to finish.  

Upbeat and warm, Fokus and Kit Rice add a friendliness to the tune that is hard to imitate, a charismatic quality that will surely make this track a favourite. Releasing just in time for summer, Viper are proud to welcome Dub Elements back to the label with this memorable tune.

Germany based MC Fava releases his first solo EP on Beatalistics, the imprint he co-runs with Freiburgs soulful tag team partner Enea. This has been a long time coming and it couldn’t be more emotional. The 5 track strong ‘Destiny EP’ reveals more of the hopeless romantic songwriter’s soul and once again showcases his immense versatility. Finish Drum´n Bass legend Muffler adds his inimitable minimal melodic touches to the title track and underlines Fava’s personal lyrics with his trancy trademark signature. Shooting Star Mountain from Japan shows his unique talent and musical approach on the 80s Synth-Pop influenced ‘Midnight’, a rock-bass driven song characterized by its harmonised vocals arrangement. Teaming up with British vocalist Becca Jane Grey and Slovakian Smote, ‘Sarah’ is a soul touching piano based liquid roller with a long acoustic drum intro which perfectly leads into the highest emotions. Enea himself takes you into deeper shades of colour with the moody ‘Green Velvet’. Hypnotizing pads complete the warm bassline pattern which wraps the simple but distinctive drums perfectly around Fava´s mesmerizing vocals. The Green Man from Cologne, Germany concludes the emotional rollercoaster ride with the Downtempo Chill-Hop ´Alone in the Dark´. Smooth horns and breathy pads create the perfect atmosphere for the German vocalist who playfully mixes melodic singing hooks with calm spoken words and repetitive chants. Outstanding on all levels!
