Presenting a unique, and intimate musical experience the McGlashan-Lindhorst Trio possesses a quiet yet burning intensity that seems to draw the listener into the music, as the guitar and saxophone weave sonic tapestries of beautifully intricate contrapuntal melodies.   
 
Inspired by the lyrical post-bop sounds of the prolific tenor saxophone and guitar collaborations of the Stan Getz/Jimmy Raney and Sonny Rollins/Jim Hall groups, these young Canadian artists are pushing the music and niche genre forward while always remaining true to its roots.
 
After first meeting and performing together years ago in the Montreal jazz scene, guitarist Benson McGlashan and saxophonist Jonathan Lindhorst formed an instant connection. Shortly after, the two artists respectively moved on from Montreal, with Lindhorst heading to New York City, and McGlashan for Europe. Flash forward to the present, where the two musicians spontaneously met again, finding themselves at the center of an ever growing international jazz scene in Berlin that is quickly gaining world wide prominence

A spontaneous recording session in the summer of 2014 with sought after international bassist Sean Pentland lead to making of their new EP “When April Comes”, a clever and refreshing take on the drumless trio that is both lyrical and swinging.
