MC Johnny Def alias the Acid Driver is one of the founding fathers from the Underground Dance scene in Portugal as a Master of Ceremony, recognized by some of the best Top Djs round the world. The list is quite extensive to mention their names, so you d'better check for yourself. JD Remains faithful to the original feeling of Classic & Acid House Music within all heart and dedication to preserve this magic sound. Working professionally on the dance-floors and big festivals since 1994, original productions and remixes sound like Acid, Classic, Chicago & Deep House with Retro Funk ingredients. Based on the north coast of Portugal, this producer, remixer and lyricist is also a Live performer on a dj set format using high quality vocals on the fly. Big events like Monegros Desert Festival (Zaragoza - Aragon) in Spain 2006-07 editions and hosting Rock In Rio - Lisbon 2008-10-12 @ Electronic Area, are some examples of high standard as a Master of Ceremonies. The first drop from this release brings a powerful smooth Acid House crate with a remarkable 303 banging with a tight kick using a short vocal take pulling the strings to make you Jack, pulsed by deep pads and hypnotic musical textures setting up a tasty pace. The second drop uses a more organic TB303 approach, to embrace a very wise and intense speech about the real feeling of House Music, laid on 20 years of self experience, embraced with super Classic House chord keys, as a tribute to Raveolutions Radio Show HQs in Faro, Algarve's main city, broadcasting and supporting the alternative dance movement since 93, every friday night 11:00pm-01:00am, available for real-time streaming audio and video on the web. Here one can listen to international and local Djs as well as Johnny Def Acid Driver, Classic Raveolution resident guest mixes once a month, hosted by Helena Isabel.

I’m really happy with this exclusive contribution to our sama recordings mix series by Medallion Man. He is the co-founder and resident dj of Loose Lips, a diverse UK-based collective/platform and assistant label manager/head of publishing at the established label, 2020Vision recordings. His current project is with Music Box Radio, in which his Loose Lips show invites artists for guest mixes and interviews on a weekly basis. 

Starting the mix of with some special facets of Acid Techno, he constantly drives this coherent and pulsating selection to another stage with his unique take on experimental and underground dance music.

In 1994 started to work professionally in night clubs and became the resident warm up DJ, Light Jockey and Master of Ceremony from the famous " Rock's Club" in Vila Nova de Gaia - Portugal, where he had the chance to work with some of the most relevant names from the Dance Music World Scene.

The Host from Olá Love2Dance 03/05/06 editions, in Pavilhão Atlântico, a 10.000 people Arena where artists like Madonna and Lenny kravitz performed.
