“Align” is the first single that McKail feels authenticity reflects her multifaceted love for folk, rock, soul, r&b, jazz and new age music. The track includes a new age singer-songwriter approach to lyrics combined with jazz infused melodies, wailing electric guitar, plus soul and psychedelic elements. The song came about while McKail was on a solo trip to the San Bernardino Mountains.

The Past

Literally a memo on my phone.. Recorded this at the beginning of quarantine on May 9th (Ashley Maietta's B-day). I had just driven to Mt. Pleasant, Utah to quarantine for 2 weeks in the upstairs bedroom of an old house that my ancestors built in the 1870's. Wild..

Today marks the day that John Lennon would have been 80 yrs old.. What a blessing he was to the world. His album, 'John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band' is one of my all-time favorites. This song is off that album.
