A pop song in the perspective of a pop star. Here’s the scoop: After watching interviews and listening to songs that seem to touch light on handling fame, haters, and mental illness (which are all very prominent when you’re thrust into the starlight), I was inspired to morph into my own pop star alter ego and write a song about it. And what is more meta than a pop star writing a pop song about being a pop star? Especially when the writer isn’t even a pop star? So of course, we wanted it to be a party anthem, a dance bop, if you will. Whatever gets the people going. 

We’ve got the attitude and the style. Then we dive into what I like to call the evil sorcerer bridge where she demands the people’s attention, money, and minds. In contrast, that leads us to the God sequence, where the pop star reminds the people that she is the representation of the dreams they themselves have lost along the journey of life. Everyone has two sides. Just because pop stars only show their good one, doesn’t mean they’re to be trusted.
