Dijon duo Flaur - somewhere between fleur, flower, and flair - step back up to the plate with their debut 12" for Paris-based Cosmocities, folding bright threads of house, Balearic pop and nu disco from hang-in-there opener 'Hold On' to a lovingly remixed B-sider. The title number pulses with Wurlitzer keys, elastic bass and breezy 70s disco textures; 'Now' leans into funkier territory with pizzicato strings and big melodic hooks; and a live cut of 'On My Mind', taped at Mastoid Studio in Paris, lands somewhere between slo-mo indie dance and heartfelt synth pop. Remixes come from Art Of Tones, who gives 'Hold On' a cosmic dub twist; Gaettson, whose revamp of 'On My Mind' is geared for summer nights; and Faze Action, who lift 'Now' into peak-time territory.
