I find this whole mix so immensely calming

Humans spend roughly one third of our lives asleep. Although we fundamentally understand that we need to sleep to survive, we know little about one of the quintessential aspects of sleep - dreams - and we invest relatively little time or money to try and learn more.

Rapid eye movement sleep or REM sleep is a unique phase of sleep in mammals and birds accompanied by vivid and highly visual dreams, and characterized physically by random rapid movement of the eyes, low muscle tone throughout the body, and irregular heart rate, blood flow, breathing rate, and body temperature.

This 45-minute mix is intended to evoke the peculiar, rapidly-changing, yet deeply personal and mystical nature of dreams. It's the first in a series of mixes or "vibes" that I'll share periodically. Thank you for listening.
