See, a lot went missin' once I lost my optimism
It's equivalent to being locked in prison
A lot of friends got prescriptions
And are prompt to mention I should go for doctor visits

Until Ashton reminded me several times that I'm not a victim
See, I've got a lot of wisdom...but I'm dumb about it
Instead facing things head on, I'd rather run around it

So, I guess that's the beauty of life
Having unduly time to not truly decide
And seeing the view from this eye...
I'd still say the world is crudely designed but who am i besides an unusual guy

I guess I need a breather,
Standing outside in jeans and a tee shirt
My back and knees hurt, but I still need work
So I can keep putting these thoughts together in the form of these words

Verse 2:

My desire to write won't go so far
Either I'm in my room or at a local bar
And that's where my buddies welcome me with open arms
Where they smile a laugh from my SoCo charm

I like the cliche, "The sky's the limit"
But I don't like sentences ending with "I'm finished."
So over time witness...
A confused look on my face like "why's this tequila got lime in it?"

I'll slam it anyway...'cause the chick next to me's got a pretty face
And a skinny waste, I got plenty days
To recover from being some sort of drunk Hemingway
...So I sip away

And at a house party I fell like a Kid at Play
But at home I feel I'm in complete disarray
Is it ok to be led by misdirection
And get T-boned in the middle of an intersection?

I'm interested in NOT getting arrested
And wanting to be dirty rich, keeping my mits disinfected
I hope you get the message, trekking toward my babylon
In the form of a song where I sorely babble on, and babble on

Verse 3:

Tell me, what's a crippling touch
Placing my hands together just to twiddle my thumbs
Or being passionate when the kiss is so numb
Bad habit you let go of, I've been pickin' 'em up

Taking the littlest chug, for my past children
Glad they can't see the face, 'cause their dad killed 'em
It's bad karma and I have feelin's
Behind this metal face, but I've embraced being a mad villain

So, I'm feelin' salty like the soy's open
Sickening knowing I would named my little boy Rowland
Turbulent thoughts appearing poised, focus
But every baby noise, opens flood gates on my poor choices

Annoying voices point at how the story concludes
Paranoid in my room, some sorta recluse
Content with ignorance...hence avoiding the news
Dealing with my own bullshit that soiled my shoes

Deep down, I don't think she should ever forgive
In fact, I'd help bury the rest of the history
Thought I lied when I said "we were never meant to be"
But being without me, there could be no better victory.
