Mark du Mosch is a Rotterdam based producer and DJ who has earned the highest amount of respect in the Dutch alternative music scene in the past couple of years. The reason is simple: he dares to go beyond the obvious, his raw yet emotional signature sound being distinctive, versatile and stunningly creative. Expect perfectly executed analogue bliss from a craftsman who is slowly yet steadily making his way into the records bags of global house and techno connoisseurs.

The title track is a quirky display of what the multi-talented du Mosch has to offer. Complex but catchy melody lines meet a highly effective get-in-high gear bassline, bridging the gap between analogue roughness and subtle chords. If this bass-inflicted break down doesn’t tear up some early morning dance floors, nothing else will.

Hiccupping kicks, steady groovin’ hi-hats and analogue synth patterns that keep building momentum are the impelling ingredients for 'Living Up'. Cosmic warmth topped by lush, ancient sounding yet timeless drums. Emotive stuff that grabs your attention instantly.

From Russia with love; Moscow based cult producer Gesloten Cirkel kicks it up a notch with his rough-and-ready take on 'Living Up'. Wailing synths, piston hi-hats and an everything but straight-to-the-point bassline make for an epic esoteric house jam.

After bursting on to the scene in 2017 with the dub techno stomper ‘Zulu Blues’ on Navy Cut records, Melbourne based producers Pugilist and Mystik collaborate once again, this time around with 3 tracks on Modern Hypnosis.

The A side ‘Sabu’; a unique blend of polyrhythmic Latin inspired percussion and chanting, complemented with a rolling bass line and dreamy synthesised chord progression; is a genre blending trip, sitting at 135bpm.

On the flip side, two sophistically crafted dub-step pieces. 'Misty in Roots’, taken from the vaults after hypnotising dances in Melbourne on dub plate for the last 3 years. Minimal, meditative, eyes down music.

'2 Steps Backwards’ (available vinyl only) is an energetic 140bpm piece. Nostalgic roots inspired 'Dub-step of old’ is infused with creative oscillating synthesis, musicality, and post modern dubbing techniques. A subtle bass line switch up on the second drop guarantees satisfaction.

Who or what is this lizard-like appearance and how is its neck so flexible?! This and other questions will not be answered in our 30th podcast. 

Instead, @HalberBall takes you on an excursion through the sonic landscapes of the mind. 
Captivating the listener with a series of VERY unconventional transitions, stringing together this musical piece which at times sounds like a flock of geese on acid gathering for a square wave eulogy while at other times resembling uplifting/lush footwork-like soundscapes that rhythmically never cease to amaze. Syncopated staccato beats meeting detail-rich soundscapes which in many ways are on par with the 2010-12 UK bass vibes. Futuristic, Unusual & bass-driven. Definitely something right in-between a fever dream and the score to a video game you never played. Expect the unexpected!
