Next up for our meanwhile moments series we are proud to present one of the world's finest DJ exponents of deep futuristic progressive house, Belgium's Eran Aviner.
As label head of Edge Records,  his infamous Edge events, and with a touring schedule around Eruope & beyond, Eran's set always speak to a woven tapestry into a journey of sound.
His "room service" sessions throughout the pandemic highlighted Eran's passion for his sound & sharing it with the world.
This set is a fantastic journey recorded live at the recent Extrema Festival in Belgium!

"Because absolutely nothing compares to music. This language, whose universal vibes can  be understood by anybody, connects people around the globe be it religions, cultures or ethnicity. Great tunes turn strangers into friends. One note expresses more emotions than a thousand words. Music goes on where words fall short. It simply touches your soul.   Born in Antwerp in 1982, Eran soon discovered his sense of rhythm and passion for sound. One sweet day, the cherished dream of creating his own music and becoming a DJ came true. Inspired by the vibes of past and contemporary electronic music, he started mixing emotive melodies with a contemporary beat. Urged by a strong desire to develop his own DJ style, he soon discovered his path into the kingdom of sound.   Eran's remarkable musical taste has been astonishing countless party people across the dance floors across the globe. His sophisticated blend of melodically driven electronic music manages to surprise the crowd every time. The tracks he harmonically and seamlessly mixes tell an intriguing story. Having singed his records to labels such as Sudbeat and Plattenbank has made him a vast feature in today’s world of electronic music. By consciously adapting his music to the audience and carefully building up the tempo, he succeeds to turn every party into one that will definitely be remembered. Having found something that was missing in Antwerps nightlife he founded, together with his partner, a new concept called EDGE in 2014 which has already booked some of the biggest names in the industry such as John Digweed, Sasha, Lee Burridge, Adriatique, Stephan Bodzin, Hernan Cattaneo b2b Guy J just to mention a few. EDGE was founded to bring party people, Dj’s and musical influences from different cultures and styles together. Since its initial conception in Antwerp EDGE expanded its horizons and has held editions in Tel Aviv and Amsterdam. I was slightly amazed to realize that it has now been ten years since my first Slinky mix - how time flies! And yet, time also stretches. That is what this mix series is all about, pulling the tempo fader a bit further down than usual, giving the grooves some extra space, a longer moment between the beats to let things breathe in a new way.

Over the course of an electronic music obsession more than 20 years strong, Mark Slee has evolved a deep musical style that reflects a unique personality, blending intuition and introspection with a methodical approach to production and curation.

Fully committed to digging the troves of modern dance music, Slee aims to uncover releases that stand out. His monthly mix show on Proton Radio showcases his discoveries, with over 100 mixes presented in the past decade. In 2016, Slee joined forces with musical partner Atish to form the label Manjumasi. Debuting with his own Nocturne Belle EP, Manjumasi celebrates quirky dance music that explores new territory without forgetting the dance floor. Beyond Manjumasi, Slee's original productions and remixes have been released on such imprints as Cityfox, Seven Villas, Kindisch, Everything Will Be OK, Sound Avenue, Lost Diaries, Cosmic Society, Magician On Duty, Nugget, Where the Heart Is, Proton Music, and more. In addition to regular appearances on his San Francisco home turf, Slee's style has earned him DJ sets in notable locales, such as Kater Blau and Sisyphos in Berlin, Cityfox in New York, and Robot Heart.

Since 2016 Slee has also been developing immersive, spatial audio-visual production tools for systems of up to 32 channels via Envelop. Notable live performances with Envelop include MUTEK.SF and FORM Arcosanti.
