This LIVE version of "Runaway Souls" is a track Hughes, Williams and Miller made in late Fall 2015. What you're hearing is us during our rehearsal. (Miller on electric guitar, Williams on drums, Hughes on vocals.)The development of this piece happened so effortlessly as we expressed what we felt reflected being black in America and the stories of our ancestors. All of it was free-styled.  

The song was dedicated for a Kwanzaa event by UConn's African American Cultural Center and has since held strong impact on society. The studio version will be made available soon.

2.I been a Kanye fan my whole life it feels like. But when your idol does some shit that’s off, you gotta call them out. I had so many questions about his recent actions/views

 a. Is this nigga a clone? b: Maybe this is just a tactic that may alter soon, but in turn he’s sacrificing his own image to create a fake one as a means to gain trust with the enemy. Maybe later he’d change his motive? Or c: He’s just a “false prophet” and something I’d have to accept. 

 3)There’s nothing wrong with dropping out of/leaving  ANYTHING that you feel does not serve you anymore towards your growth. The line about that was sarcasm to Ye specifically. Had he actually stayed in school he wouldn’t have made some of the greatest songs out but he’s acting like he should have stayed in school with some of recent comments. Hence, his lack of consideration to issues/experiences faced by “oppressed” people reveals he is either not educating himself on what’s going on or ignoring them (or picking what he wants to address). While college can’t teach you what the streets teach can, metaphorically the line also suggests he should’ve never dropped out from seeking knowledge (specifically that adheres to the “oppressed” group). Knowledge is true power amongst anything especially wealth. Essentially, knowledge and wisdom can be wealth but being wealthy can never insinuate one has wisdom through the knowledge acquired if not applied. Power is revoked when one no longer seeks knowledge —(drops out). How can anyone, (even the enemy) take you seriously when you forget your roots or try to cut them out?
