Mitchell Dancik started his music career in the 1970’s in New York City, where his band “Just Water” scored a regional hit single with “Singin’ In The Rain”. He now leads “Mitchell Dancik & The Senators. Dancik is a multi-instrumentalist, and has written more than 300 songs. Although Mitch came up through the NYC punk/new wave scene, his music covers a wide range of styles including highly melodic vocal and instrumental pieces, story songs, folk-rock, and pop. Career highlights include: 

1971 – 1978  Songwriter, singer, & guitarist for NYC band “Just Water” 
1971 –Roadie for The Who in England and the U.S.
1975 - 1978 - Played legendary clubs CBGBs & Max's Kansas City
1975 – Released “King Kong”, one of the first indie releases of NYC punk/new wave era.
1977 – Released “The Riff”, the absolute first indie released album of NYC punk/new wave era.
1978 – “Singin’ In The Rain”, a punked-up version of the classic show tune, becomes a radio hit.
1978 – Signed to Stiff Records
1978 – Session work with Jamaican reggae star Max Romeo.
1982 – 1984 – Worked with singer/artist Jayne Bliss in Band Apart (Mach II), touring France & Belgium for Crammed Disc Records. 
1992 – Mitch’s song “Witness To The Crime” in Diane Lane film “My New Gun”
2006 – Branded Records releases 3 CD anthology of “Just Water”
2009 – Branded Records releases “Short Journeys” by Mitchell Dancik & The Senators.
2012 - Through TAXI, 22 Just Water songs are licensed to Fervor Records for use in film and TV
2013 - Just Water's "The Riff" used in the film "Spectacular Now"
2014 - Mitch opens Pie Man Sound, a recording studio in Cary, NC
2015 - Mitch's "What We Need Is Some Rock" is included in episode 2 of the Mr Robot series
