کارن همایونفر آهنگساز ایرانی متولد سال 1348 در تهران است. او از شش سالگی مشغول فراگیری پیانو و تئوری موسیقی در خانواده بهبود شد . وی پس از اتمام تحصیلات دبیرستان برای ادامه تحصیل در رشته موسیقی به انگلستان و سپس به ترکیه رفت. در انگلستان وارد مدرسه موسیقی بیلکنت شد و بعد از آن در کنسرواتوآر موسیقی "هاجِد تپه" ی آنکارا ، به تحصیلات تکمیلی خود ادامه داد. 
در سال ۱۳۹۰ آلبومی بنام "سرانجام" شامل مجموعه آثار وی برای موسیقی متن فیلم های جرم ، خاک آشنا ، زادبوم ، گزارش یک جشن ، سوت پایان ، قصه پریا ، یکی از ما دو نفر و ... توسط موسسه آوا خورشید منتشر شده است .
