Present Sonics X: Boker Tov

Gemini aka Spencer Kincy is the Chicago house legend that never was. King of slamming baselines and wild drums he's equally loved by Chicago legends (Derrick Carter, Sneak), new school heroes (Black Madonna, Mike Servito) and even minimal stars (Ricardo Villalobos, Zip). Unfortunately he succumbed to serious psychosis and is currently MIA in Chicago. You can hear an increasingly schizophrenic mental state in his tracks: anxious drum patterns, jarring baselines and self-doubting lyrics. But throughout there's moments of hope and optimism, which makes Gemini's tragic story even more important. I made this mix as a tribute and to help spread the genius of Gemini's music.
