The next episode of "Podcast Series" is a set made by the talented CAlinie.

Born in Bacau, the city where the Romanian minimal started, and being able to grow up nearby the likes of VID and other Zebra Club legends, Calinie started dj-ing about 4 years ago and producing his own music shortly after. Pending between dark progressive and upbeat melodic tempos, he managed to warm up for Raresh, Cally, Primarie and others while building his own reputation as a great DJ at parties around Romania. Meanwhile, about a dozen labels have released his productions and one of his most successful appearances was to land an amazing track on the Telurian compilation last year. Now he is working on a bran dnew material to be featured on his first proper album on Zebra Records.

27. MDK Podcast Series | CAlinie

We welcome Manchester based DJ and Producer HISH to the podcast series. After following his music for some time, we are excited to be working with him on this seamless mix.

Based in Manchester, owner of Tempo & one half of Raz.ish, he has been working with eclectic sounds for quite some time. Also co owner of justfishwax & working on an upcoming vinyl only label. The electronic spaces HISH creates are characterised by a fluid style and its own seductive playfulness. The captivating baselines to the groovy mixes, his discography reaches a greater range of emotions, which is carefully mixed at the right bpm to wake up the crowds voracious hunger for dancing. 

His success is measured in the pleasure he finds in making music, releasing several different styles of music which never seems to end. It’s hard not to notice that his records hide a special feature: the ability to amplify any form of good mood..
