Pegul is a cartoon that co-created and have been writing since I was 10 years old. We have 2 full length movies worth of material including concept art, storyboards, a very dense universe with plenty of background, soundtrack, score and so much more. Hopefully one day we will be able to do something with it. It's also what my tattoo is on my right arm!

My Senior Project at Drexel University. Forest of the Fog is a 3 movement Riddle Suite for a small chamber ensemble. It is paired with a story (below) that dictates the form. This is a midi-recreation of the piece. If you would like the score, please email me at Stevenjobs101@gmail.com. 

Movement 1

You are alone in the woods at night.
In the distance, something flickers and darts away.
You give chase. As you draw near the light, it vanishes.
Suddenly, the air overwhelms your senses.

Where are you now?
You are in the Forest of the Fog.
Mushrooms and strange plants glow on the moss covered ground, mystifying the scenery.
You begin to explore the magical, haunting landscape.

The world is beautiful and mesmerizing.
Lights glitter and litter the atmosphere as you walk.
Yet, there is no one else around.
...Or is there?

Movement 2

The lights are alive.
They playfully dance around and inspect you head to toe.

You decide it's time to leave.
However, escaping the Forest of the Fog is no easy task.
To escape...you must answer this riddle:

"There are many lights in the Forest of the Fog.
Only one truly flickers. The rest only snicker.
Which light is the flicker of the fog?"

Do you know the answer?

Movement 3

Listen!
The flicker beckons you. You give chase.
As you run, you reflect on all of the magical things you've seen.
The fog starts surrounding you, but you can still see the flicker.
You continue to chase.
You are consumed by Fog.
You carefully make your way through and break free from its hold.
The flicker disappears.
You look around.
You are alone in the woods at night.
