As part of the RA CC event in Bogotá at the beginning of July, RA city manager Luisa Uribe sat down with local collectives ahora (Carlos), Íntimas (DJ Hermano) and Neotropica (Canina) at Súper Rayo for a conversation in Spanish about the unique spirit of independence, diversity and queer influences that are integral to the story of Bogotá's lively electronic music scene.

This RA CC event offered an intimate exploration into various self-led initiatives shaping the city's thriving club scene, all showcased through a live-recorded radio show with interviews and DJ sets.

This is RA's first editorial audio content in Spanish.

Sylvere hails from Paris, but his musical vision extends well beyond the borders of the French capital. He references the familiar sounds of techno and rave music, but he also pulls heavily from dancehall and the bass-heavy traditions of Caribbean soundsystem culture. He has joined Monkeytown, records, Berlin based record run by Modeselektor.

This club mix goes back to the classics born 25 years ago, fused with percussive productions of the new generation. Some tracks were already a decade old when I first heard them; they have been present in so many moments for many people. This is an attempt to merge my love for deeper sounds, along with less 4/4 tracks and more percussive/hip-hop melodies.

@chachlarage  is a Marseille born, Barcelona based artist. They are interested in hybrid sounds, cross-pollination of genre and nonlinear sets.  
Looking for moments of emotions and release, they often blend heavy basslines with soulful voices. They navigate genres such as Breaks, G house, deep reggaeton, and bass. Digging classic grooves as well as new styles and fusions. 

They see Djing as an opportunity to unite in anger, dance, and reclaim our happiness on the dancefloor.
