The 1st track of 'Lapidary' alleviates the pressures of existence through our yearning for a maturation of the soul that allows us to mitigate against the pressures of life. The name 'Asterism' given to the track means "a star shaped concentration of light reflected or refracted from a gemstone". Pressure inevitably forms gems and consequentially they bestow upon us the facets within them that shine.

'Chatoyancy' refers to the sheen created by light refracting off parallel channels, crystals or fibres included within a gem. The term chatoyancy comes from the French term 'oeil de chat', meaning 'cats eye'. A chatoyant gem displays a single bright band of reflected light across its surface. To say one has a cats eyes is indicative of their optimistic and curious nature.

This is 'Reminiscence', an almost 7 minute long soulful breakbeat banger that I produced, mixed and mastered myself.
