Bulbs- Ben Izzy Silvers Ft. Chenie Sinthang

MeECL Engineers' Association observed World Energy Conservation day on the 14th December, 2015 from 2PM -3.30PM at the premises of the main building of MeECL at Lumjingshai. 

As part of the celebration, the winners of the 2 month long ACTIVE POWER SONG CONTEST were announced to the public with performances and prize distribution to the top 5 participants. 

Top 5 participants were:

1. Barikupar Kharnaior (Shillong)
2. Aaron Pyngrope (Nongstoin)
3. Jonan Diengdoh (Shillong)
4. Spiral Puppets (Shillong)
5. Eben Sangma & Chenie Sinthang (Tura)

Eben Sangma & Chenie Sinthang emerged winners of the contest with their song "Bulbs". The song boasts of a catchy tune with a very good good and music style relevant of today's generation. The song can be downloaded for free from www.activepowercontest.com

Shri. Barkos Warjri, IAS, Chief secretary Govt. of Meghalaya & Chairman-cum-Managing director (MeECL) graced the occasion as chief guest.
