Athen-based progressive dj and producer MEANDER starts on 3rd June 2014 Tuesday 8pm CET on the Trance channel. 

Behind the production of Meander from Athens Greece is Michael Fourlas.

He discovered the temple of electronic music at 1998 and he became addicted so at the year 2002 he starts studying audio engineering and music technology. At 2005 he started to play powerful psyprogressive Dj set and to organize events. He has played with some of the biggest artists in trance scene like Ace Ventura, Etnica, Vibrasphere, Bamboo Forest, Liquid Soul, Symphonix, U Recken, Gaudium, Kox Box, Protonica, Audiomatic, Headroom, Laughing Buddha, Stella Nutella, Aphid Moon, Egorythmia and many more.

After since years of playing in several parties and several studies in sound, it was a question of time to starts producing his own music. Powerful progressive trance grooves with lots of spicy psychedelic elements, composing a deep atmosphere and creating his unique style. The first track from Meander was released in 2008 and till now he has release tracks in 23 compilations and 1 ep in collaboration with the owner of Plusquam records Sunstyk. After tracks releasion in various compilations from top labels like Iono Music / Plusquam Records / Blue Tunes Records / Yellow Sunshine Explosion and many others.

At the entry of 2012 a new ep released from Plusquam Records the remixes works that contains 2 tracks from master minds Ritmo and Etic. One month later released the debut album Time machine from Plusquam Records…

ZEGOTHA’s passion for psychedelic trance dates back to around 2002 but his active involvement only started a bit later as he was still drumming in a hardcore band at the time. He has always been fascinated by darker, more twisted, faster sounds of psy music. His first gig was in 2004, followed by more and more invites to play at smaller, more private events, where he loves playing ever since. In 2006 he started producing music and also joined the Phazy M’ulator darkpsy project. After a number of gigs and track releases on international labels, this period ended in 2008 but he has continued making music: more recently co-creating with his friends, Nasgul, Madrabit, Acid Goblin.
Since the Phazy M’ulator split, he is mainly focused on playing DJ sets, many times with his friend Monga at parties in his home country and several times as a solo act around Europe: at Slovakian festivals, in Belgrade as a returning guest of the Planet Psychedleic party series, to name a few. He regularly performs at DarkAngels Gatherings, has shared the stage with famous international artists at Twisted Tower events, is part of the Psychotria Records and member of the ‘Budapest in the Dark’ crew. He is present on the lineups of festivals such as Psyweekend, Chillweekend, 4.49 Festival, Inner Waves, X-Files Camp, MAJOR Festival. Since 2014 he is also a returning artist on the O.Z.O.R.A. stages, last time playing before Fungus Funk. More recently his passions are concentrated on psytrance, psychedelic and hypnotic techno, but he also loves playing darkprog – zenonesque and darkpsy sets and is looking forward to the many gigs at home and abroad you can hear him performing at in the near future.

This week in our State Alchemy Exclusives we welcome a familiar face to the State Alchemy team, a man by the name of Splooj AKA Luke Weyer! Having a major love love for electronic music, Luke has become a household name here in South Africa playing at some of the State alchemy events as well as numerous other indoor events around Cape Town as well as in Vietnam where he is the co owner of the event company Liquid Hive, one of the main influences of Psytrance to Hanoi. He discovered the temple of electronic music at the middle of 90’s and he became addicted, so at the year of 2002 he starts studying audio engineering and music technology. At 2005 he started to play powerful Dj set and organize events. After since years of playing in several dancefloors and several studies in sound, it was a question of time to start producing his own music. Powerful grooves with lots of spicy psychedelic elements, compose a deep atmosphere thus creating his unique style. He joined Intermind records from its creation as an artist under dark progressive genre. The first track from Meander was released in 2008 and since then he has an active presence in many well-known and established labels.
