Mike Rish is somewhat of a quiet achiever, with the Melbourne native having a string of releases under multiple aliases across numerous subgenres of electronic music. However, it’s under his own name where he lets his progressive-house imagination wander. His studio output is prolific, and has been embraced by progressive heavyweights, with support from the likes of Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Jamie Stevens and Kasper Koman to name a few. His “progressive” and consistent rise is the result of a diligent and very selective output of music, opting to release music to keep people engaged, but also wanting more…

Hello Everyone, welcome along to another episode of our exclusive PFG Progcast, Each week we transverse Planet Prog, seeking to source the best content from the best artists we can lay our hands on, but this week we've given our flight crew the week off. 

So enamoured with NZ and last week's guest, lo and behold another ex-pat resides up on this beautiful country that we are honoured to have guest for us. Time for some pure prog vibes... Buenos Aires style... from Eichenbaum!! 

Andres Eichenbaum aka Eichenbaum's musical journey began post 90s. He was a teenage son of Argentina, immersed in the Progressive Rock and Jazz scenes of Buenos Aires, the city that never sleeps. His passion for electronic music, most specifically Progressive House, was piqued in his hometown and became stronger during his travels around the globe, especially while in Europe.

Now based on Waiheke Island, Aotearoa (New Zealand) since the end of 2013, he is renowned for performing regularly at a wide range of events and festivals around the country. Over time he has played in different parts of the world many times, such as Argentina, Mexico, Japan, Sri Lanka and many more surely to come in the future.

Since the beginning of 2021, he and his business partner Guz (AR) started “Lift Me High”, a production company of music and entertainment events. They followed up with monthly podcasts, showcasing the best Deep and Progressive House DJs/Producers from around the world.

Behind the stage and online, Eichenbaum's DJ mixes have made appearances on international radio shows focused on Progressive House such as Metrodance, Frisky Radio, Wildwood Podcast Series to name a few.

Nowadays, he keeps working on his studio building his evolving his sound identity which is reflected on his tracks. His productions have already been supported by Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha & John Digweed, Guy Mantzur, Nick Warren, Dmitry Molosh, Henry Saiz, Eelke Kleijn, Adriatique, Solomun, Graziano Raffa, Chicola, Armen Miran, Hraach, Joris Voorn, Mariano Mellino, Nick Varon, Baunder, Antrim, Ezequiel Arias, Kevin Di Serna, DJ Ruby, GMJ & many MANY other elite DJ's in our scene.

Something of an enigma as an artist, this Arizona based producer is definitely in the ‘quality over quantity’ camp. Forerunners music is about the slow build, the journey, where filters ebb and flow, layers creep to the front then withdraw, where the percussion is hypnotic and the synths repetitive, and the melody draws the listener in with its subtlety, rather than a crass fanfare.
