I wrote this song on Sunday night and played it for some people at Frank's Northstar Tavern that evening at the Gothic Cowboy Review.  Tonight (Thursday) I whipped it out on a whim to play for the guys for the first time.  I think they liked it.  Anyway, here you guys are playing it again.  Gotchya!

This is a story as told by my Grandpa Fred Leimkuhler about a long remembered Christmas in the 1880's when my great great grandfather "Uncle Billy" owned and operated the Ferry across the Missouri river.  This is a true life family story passed down for generations now.  Luckily I was able to record my grandpa telling the story as he'd written and remembered it in 2006.  Enjoy.
