Remixed for @ashmusiczone's Sonic Advance 4 project. 

From the get-go, I thought this level to take place in the sewers, and being someone who lives in New York, I felt that I could do this very well. I had dealt with a sewer level before (more on that later,) but this had been sure to come later in an adventure, and it was meant to be much darker. However, from the minute I heard this song, I had a much different idea in mind. I didn't even take inspiration from the music of this particular source, but in terms of the motif I wanted the music to reflect... I turned to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time.

The iconic sewer level was exactly the kind of thing that I imagined for this level, and it inspired the music too, as well as the reference that came in on the day of the song's completion. Early on, my friends even told me that it sounded like something you'd hear in a surfing montage.

However, when I learned that this level took place in a Steampunk factory, I just said... Screw it. I say it still works, and Ash would agree.

This really did turn out so well, and I got to include a piece of what I'm doing in real life right now into it too. Besides those who I have shown in advance, I'll definitely be surprised if you can get the reference right!

Humid Pipelines [Digital Remaking]

An old track from 2011 I made based on some chords MarkeyJester had written for a song in one of his many homebrew projects over the years. I still really enjoy how this turned out.

Somebody pointed out that the guitar solo near the end kind of sounds like Tidal Tempest Good Future from the US Sonic CD soundtrack. I never realized this initially, so my bad for the unintentional ripoff. :P

Celestial Tides

On a volcano inhabited by dragons, Eggman has set up a base. He plans to stop Sonic from reaching him at all costs...he'd even make the volcano erupt (and have the lava hit a nearby town as consequence). Are you a bad enough dude to stop him?

S0LV0 mixed this track and did a bang-up job! So thank her for the crisp and punchy sounds you hear in this mix :D

I started out just trying to make a straight remake of the original Sky Troops music, but EXshad's guitar ad-libbing and some other happy accidents ended up making this more uplifting and airy take on the song. Think of it as the Sonic to the original song's Shadow.

Okay, so here's the story of this stage (keeping in mind, we're just thinking of stage concepts, not an actual story for a game):

"A futuristic casino-like place unwillingly built on top of one of eggman's old bases. The base is still barely functional and is tracking Sonic/Blaze as the progress through the stage.
If you go deep enough in the casino portion of this club, you can see the decaying base around you. This part of the stage is reflected in the second iteration of the melody."
