Media Blackout presents Greek 80’s disco kings Evanton’s – Hillside Stranger EP, due for release on November 24th, 2014. Their signature sound influenced by disco, 80’s poly synth and smooth house resonates throughout their original music which is upbeat, atmospheric with a some great pads and iconic fills. Making his debut on Media Blackout, Sasha Primitive delivers an outstanding EP filled with clever vocal samples and great club appeal. This is probably Sasha's biggest work to date, making it one of those releases that make you sit up and take notice.

The Barcelona based enigmatic Medsound has been a regular in many top artist playlists, constantly showcasing his huge originality and versatility without ever disappointing. 

Russian master of the cool beat ‘Alex Hook' is another making his debut on Media Blackout with his incredible rendition of ‘Moving Right'. Alex's affair with sound "through heart, hands and computer tools" has led to a raft of successful releases and remixes, and this is no exception. With recently occupying the number 1 spot on Beatport he truly lets his talent shine thru with his rendition of 'Moving Right'. Part deep nu disco, part driving four to the floor house; his remix of is ode to house music that creates a mood that's perfect for any dance-floor. Stunning stuff! 

The second remix comes from none other than British sound maestro Ben Macklin, who besides is well known persona is a true master of the craft. He drops a stunning remix of ‘Moving Right'; a modern beach house jam with all the right elements. The bouncy bass and great synth arrangements create a sexy, provocative atmosphere while Dana's voice make words settle in truly magical fashion, creating a warm felt atmosphere that creates special memories every time you listen to it.

French sound genius Juloboy, famed for his body moving beats and immense production skills, delivers a remix that dives into more calm territory with lots of euphoric vibes and a beautiful Spanish guitar that builds the main focal point of his stunning rework. The luscious use of the vocals, bass stabs and driving drums make for an irresistible rhythm while the clever chords round off these fantastic interpretations.

Last but not least we have Media Blackout favourite Rafael Lambert who's remix focuses on the melodic side, by cleverly chopping the beats and vocal for the opening part oft he track to create a moody and emotional vibe, which in combination with some swinging drums half way thru establishes so much positive energy that it takes you right to any happening beach house club at sunset in the world, emphasizing the vast musical spectrum this release has on offer.

Douze - Zenith

It’s been a while since we’ve heard a track capture the endless summer vibe quite like this! Images of the sun kissed coast, Venice beach, Santa Monica pier and sunset drives down PCH run through our minds instantly when we hear “Out Of My Head” by Parisian producer Douze. And if you recognize those sultry vocals that’s because they come from Moodblanc’s Magnus who was featured on that killer Medsound track from two weeks ago.

The single is lifted from an EP by the same name that features an extended and radio edit version of the title track as well as another absolutely stellar original called “Zenith.” Everything about this track captures the essence and romance of those fleeting summer months. It’s a feeling that you can never really put into words, but always lingers long after the season ends much like this song that totally lives up to its lyrics.
