I want to complement Sheila's words on the Xinjiang situation. There really is a problem with radical separatism in the region that is led by salafi groups. We can find info and studies on this dating from about a decade ago. Chinese repression against separatism is to be expected, nobody wants the situation to escalate to something analogue to the Chechen wars that Russia went through (well, "somebody" wants it to happen, of course, but not us).

on this note where can one find videos of the Californian occupy protests specifically the ones where the protesters do a roman tortoise and a guy gets shot in the head by a tear gas canister? I think RT made the videos - I can't find them anywhere

This woman had some of the worst takes on the Hong Kong protests I have ever heard in my life. If you ever wondered if we would do something were there were another Holocaust in today's day and age, look no further than this podcast, where we justify the capture, internment, forced indoctrination, and slaughter of Uighur people on a massive scale, by calling them "education centers". Sheila had some of the weakest takes on mainland china, most likely stemming from her OWN historical context of her and her family being racially discriminated against by people of Hong Kong. I listened to this podcast expecting to have my views on Hong Kong changed, or at the very least challenged, yet I sat through an hour of milk toast cherry picked gripes with the protests that have little to do with the protests themselves. These people are desperate for liberation, and are calling to foreign powers for help, yet people exist that are so far left that they have become right, like Sheile Xiao.

Abby had credibility in my view, but now seeing that THIS changed her mind on the Hong Kong protests, I am forced to rethink my opinion on her, considering she just ate up every point that was spoon fed to her. Good god.

Thanks!  One NGO behind the protests, is the Committee on the Present Danger: China.  It was resurrected by the racists, Steve Bannon & Frank Gaffney.  It was recently exposed by Axios, that Bannon is working for a Chinese billionare, a wanted felon.
