On Tuesday, March 9, oral arguments were held at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals as the City of Troy tried to stop the Thevenin suit from moving to a juried trial. It's been a busy week for news on the Norlite incinerator in Cohoes. In just the past few hours, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency assessed fines for violations of Norlite's permits and the Department of Defense has backed away from plans to ship more toxic waste to Cohoes.
