about 30 years ago i had my gall bladder removed and shortly after moved into a musty flat, survived for a couple of night before i started coughing up almost foam,  couched so violently one night i felt like id turn my tongue out , left that night and move back where i ws before , but ever since ive had  challlenges with my breathing, but yeah never quite sure if it was that exposure , the surgery or the "underlying" conndition which the gall ballder appears to indicate, may never know, still working the health puzzle 30years on, but whenever i had a cold or such over the years id used to have a sense of smelling mildew, though not for some time, not having worked several years due to health had its upside less infection exposure perhaps :)
