Originally produced by Alix Perez for their fifth artist album The Uprising, Nonames has switched up the angular grit with a star-gazing, spacey dynamic and lucid kick arrangement that’s primed for the floor. 
Keen fans will spot this instantly from Nonames monstrous Peak Season mixtape. A 27 track journey of their own material and exclusive remixes, it landed late last year and is the result of a straight-up Technics exercise: no digital trickery, no post-mix polishes, just raw, concentrated selectionism in the way only the FBs know how. After our anticipation was pushed to breaking point, it's finally here. Pieces of this album have been circulating for a while now, chalking up support from the likes of Radio 1's Friction, DC Breaks, Tantrum Desire, Crissy Criss, Drumsound & Bassline Smith and a whole host of other heavy hitters. And you wouldn't really expect anything less, given this artist's pedigree. He's been in the game since the late nineties, chalking up some hugely successful releases on some of the biggest labels in drum'n'bass. As a DJ, he's a regular fixture at huge shows in his native Slovakia and beyond. And, since signing exclusively to Technique in 2011, his position as one of the scene's top tier producers, able to flex engineering skill and musicianship in equal measure. So strap in. It's L Plus's debut LP and it's a monster.

The title track, “Hideout”, lays out the blueprint. Never quite predictable, the tune takes us on a quirky journey through unexpected chord patterns and structural experimentation, and that's just in the intro. Make no mistake, though, L Plus hasn't compromised on sheer rave-hyping ability either, the huge build-up is definitely warranted by the weight and power of the drop. And that trend continues. You'll probably already be familiar with cuts like “Creature Must Die” and “Avenger”, which strike that perfect balance between individuality and dancefloor energy.

And that's just the start of what the album has to offer. Take the warm nostalgia of “Battleground” for example. There's real depth of emotion in the classic-synth melodies, delivered in a way you won't have heard before. Then there's “Make You Feel”, a twisted and techy journey through rhythm programming, and the half-speed madness of “Get Ugly”. The one constant feature is that all of these tunes, however expressive or resistant to pigeon-holing, are built to make ravers move.

Of course, this wouldn't be a Technique Recordings album without some heavyweight collaborations. The mighty John B passes through on “Original 80's”, to push some synth-pop and electro flavours to the limit. Muffler joins in on the uncategorisable orchestra-meets-filth of “Cinematic”. Drumsound & Bassline Smith add their spin to the melody and griminess collision of “Jetpack”. Plus the rock-solid mic man Coppa graces “Lock to the Greatest” with his presence to add a whole new facet to the sound.

You'd better believe this just scratches the surface. We all know L Plus's productions have layers to uncover, so this album is going to bear repeated listening as well as heavy rotation in raves and across airwaves. When that's true of every single track on an LP, you know we've got something special on our hands. The anticipation was justified. Check it.

Biography:	
Owner and founder of Pressed Records, ʻMedisonʼ was first snapped up by UK imprint Dented Records following credits alongside Plan B, Skrein.

Crossing the boundaries between the UK Grime/Rap movement, the forward thinking producer achieved global notoriety in 2010 with his first official release for Dented. ʻHarryʼ featuring label mate Skrein was an instant hit across the globe, backed up by remixes from chart topper Plan B, Ruckspin and in particular ʻBareNoizeʼ. With two stints at number 1 in the Chemical Records Dubstep Charts, the track was play-listed on BBC Radio 1, Kiss and Rinse FM, and gained support worldwide from every DJ worth mentioning, such as Skrillex, Chase & Status, Skism, Bar 9, Flux Pavilion, Datsik, Excision and many more. This EP could be considered one of the first to mesh UK Hip Hop and Dubstep to worldwide acclaim.

2011 showcased Medison on a collaborative EP working alongside Award winning producer Skrillex, Alix Perez, Black Sun Empire and Lazer Sword for ʻForeign Beggarsʼ debut EP on Never Say Die Records, ʻThe Harder They Fall EPʼ.

Steadily building his reputation for collaborating with some of the hottest names on the circuit and having remixed the Foreign Beggars single ʻFlying to Marsʼ (featured on ʻThe Uprisingʼ album for Deadmau5ʼs imprint ʻMau5trap recordsʼ), ʻMedisonʼ has continued to gain worldwide support from the likes of Skream & Benga (BBCRadio1), Nihal (BBC 1Xtra) and also features from Youngsta and Icicleʼs Rinse Fm radio shows.

After founding ʻPressed Recordsʼ in 2012, with a focus on long-term development for his artists and their music, ʻMedisonʼ continues to cross boundaries within deep electronic Bass music and UK Grime to a worldwide audience, with his forthcoming release ʻSpaceʼ featuring Marger and Foreign Beggars. With the track already playlisted on BBC Radio 1, Radio 1xtra and Rinse FM this talented artistʼs future is set to extremely promising.

As an International DJ, Medison has performed 3 times at the Croatian festival ʻOutlook festivalʼ, was resident at Vagabondz UK club nights in its early stages across the UK and has also toured with Monster Energy across Europe in 2012.
He has also performed alongside powerhouses such as Plastician, Foreign Beggars, Digital Mystikz, Icicle, Alix Perez, Virus Syndicate, Bar 9, Brookes Brothers, Gentlemens Dub Club and many more.
