After having drifted off from the franchise around the time of Sonic Adventure 2, a video of Rooftop Run almost a decade later reignited my love for Sonic and the franchise's music. Unleashed/Colors/Generations were some of my favorite games of this past generation hands down which was a far cry of the horrid trash that came out around 2006.

So chin up little guy, regardless how bad things are now, one day you'll rise again.

This track was originally a short-edit of Dark Gaia/Endless Possibility for the Sonic Generations Unleashed Project mod's release trailer. It's now restored to its full song form.

It's the favorite track of many.. compressed into 8 channels with mainly FF6 samples. More than 36 hours was spent on this, trying to find the most important things of the original song and squeezing it all in there, keeping track of every little thing, pushing the limits of the SNES as far as it can go. Made in Super Mario World using AddMusicK.

Many thanks to @potato-tan for helping me out a lot with this one, constantly giving me feedback and pushing me so far to make this perfect.

I always felt that many of the SMG arrangements out there felt lacking, so that's why I did this. I wanted to prove that the SPC700 can sound just as amazing as modern technology with the right execution, and I feel like it worked out just fine.

Sample sources: Final Fantasy VI, Megaman 7,  General MIDI, Gradius III, Parodius, Hourai Gakuen no Bouken.

In total there's 14 quite big samples in the song, with 112ms of delay. For the SNES, this is pretty much pushing the limits, because the ARAM is about as full as it can be for the song.
