surprised nobody asked us about this one. it's a mathematical amalgamation of the melodic, percussive, & misc. sonic information we found to be common to dance tracks we love. the mission was to make a disc-jockey tool that sounds like an independent piece but can be - somewhat shockingly - thrown under/over almost any other ~120bpm grindhouse techno-house deal we might play. annelise calls it the "untouched kitchen sink repair tool" but is off her medication so we need a good title for the version that will appear on our new album. taking suggestions!

here emma doubted annelise's posit that the "untouched kitchen sink repair tool" can support anything and had sophie select a next-record at random - you have to understand, unintentional sound of any kind is considered mortal sin for us, so annelise would have kicked herself out of the band if the compatibility was short of 100% let alone failing.. then that stupid "..clouds above me, above me.." track with the absurd out-of-key soprano harmony came on, ha! so emma offered annelise a mulligan but as sophie began selecting another song at random, annelise stopped her & said "not only will this work, i'm not even going to check the key or beats per minute." then she did the transitional play - get this - with headphones and monitors unplugged. nobody (but annelise) knew whether that layering had worked at all until after we uploaded the mix & played it back. a defeated emma accused annelise of witchcraft, but the accusation was pointless, as all four of us are witches.

oh this is just a four act play about being queer and/or vampire, or might be a hardcore horror emo anthem / zoëanna faramunga meerkat-esque piece for dance floor if you're a savvy 'nuff disc jockey 😉

our band is called meerkat & we play various instruments from the synthesizer to the donkey to the guitar and between and around.

we are four strong. zoë performs most live things and writes melodic information. oh she also does all the sound design but emma handles our more technical engineering. emma is our lead producer and percussion theorist. annelise writes most of the lyrics when zoëanna gets excited about a concept but writes a play in 433 acts by accident; zoë is the biggest idiot i know and i know three people. there happy? -sophie

oh the public gets free jokes but me and zoë have to wager "the non-broken state of your arms" -- real nice annie. wait, what is this for? if this doesn't stop our fanbase from growing i'm not interes -- lol i was trying to record video of annelise shivering with perceived ickyness -- she's very fast and also plays something but i can't remember what. it might be our string parts? she's a prodigy. zoë can play them too though and with my production you won't know the difference, but that's because you're an idiot! you get it. oh wait, you don't! that's okay, here's an alternative bio:
