Distant Episode 46 / May 2021

It is finally happening, the festival season is starting! With my first show of the summer tonight, I actually feel nervous again. It's weird to think it has been so unbelievably long since I could play music again in front of a dancing crowd. BUT I'm SUPER excited to see you all again! Today marks another special day, the 48th Episode of Distant, or better yet, 4 continues years of Distant! To celebrate, Distant will have its very own Beach edition. Distant Episode 48 / July 2021

We got a little glimpse, of about two weeks, of how things used to be here in the Netherlands. It was both wonderful, exciting and motivating. Yet, sad and devastating at the same time. To see the power that music has and how much it effects our lives, for it to be hit so during this pandemic, absolutely pains me. However, it taught me one important thing. Music will always survive and always bounce back. No matter what. Hope this episode will radiate some of that power over to you. Enjoy <3

I don't think I would be the only one if I say I have been feeling a bit powerless the last couple of months. Like there is nothing more I can do to wait for it to pass. But, the longer we are stuck in this situation, the more I realise the power music has. The messages I receive from you all fill my heart with love and motivation to keep making music. Distant Episode 39 / October 2020

This Distant episode I wanted to try something different. This time I wanted to express the concept of time. Lately it feels like time has slowed down, however, in reality, time is flying faster than ever. One day goes by and before you know it, an entire year has already passed. I tried to reproduce this in this month's episode with music that, for me, has a sense of hope, nostalgia or uncertainty. Let me know how it turned out and if you have noticed that same feeling! Nevertheless, enjoy.

We're already reaching the last episode of 2020. What an interesting year to say the least. O boy, do I miss playing these tunes live for you.. Distant Episode 41 / December 2020

I love all the hope and energy everyone brings into the new year. Even when things seem to get weider and weirder, it does not phase is. Music is what connects us, no matter where we are. It is what drives us and keeps us fighting for a better tomorrow. 

Fun fact: I started this episode at the end and worked my way forward. Just to change things up a little.
