Strong vocals, killer harmonies and jangly guitar blend together to create a solid base for Meg and the Right Sound. With influences ranging from Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Tennis and Swearin’, their sound is unique and always evolving, as their name implies.

Meg and the Right Sound formed in 2014 as a duo with Megan McDermott and Jason Sherman. They expanded their sound in early 2015, adding Chris Jakubowicz and Jeremy Bentley--complementing its already polished style with melodic bass low end and driving drum rhythms. In the fall of 2015, they were approached by WXPN and Fig Lancaster as the next “band to watch”.

When they aren’t showcasing at Tellus360 or World Cafe live, you are almost always guaranteed to catch them sipping rye whiskey and playing music at local distilleries and little brew pubs in their hometown of Lancaster City.

Meg and the Right Sound is set to release their debut self titled album March 11, 2016.
