On Sept 26th 2014, 43 young men were disappeared by the Mexican government in collusion with a criminal cartel. These young men were students at a university and were on a bus headed to a protest when local police in Iguala, Mexico took them off the bus. The murders and disappearances that are endemic in Mexico are a result of America's failed "War on Drugs," and international trade and labor practices such as NAFTA. The combined total annual deaths from all illicit drugs is dwarfed by the amount of deaths each year from prescription drugs used as directed. Let that soak in for a minute. It is time we end the hypocrisy, end the prohibitions, cut off the power of the drug lords, and get these corrupt governments to stop peddling weapons and drugs.

Conscious Creativity

CreativeMiketheRapper is the type of artist that bleeds consciousness. His honest confidence and absolute truths are refreshing to the Hip-Hop ear.  His return to music is a prolific stream of rhythmic free-flowing thoughts. 

His distinctive writing is dangerously aware. 

CreativeMike raps manifestations of persistence and perseverance even as he shares his pain about the plagued plight of a Black man in America.  

 A lot with a Little

In 5 tracks, he says more than most do in their entire career. No, he’s not wordy rather every bar is TED talk worthy. Imagine listening to a money-minded MLK that grew up on that real Hip-Hop. 

He’s not preachy but each lyric has embedded passion and pride for his people. Black people misled, misguided, and mostly importantly miseducated about the power they have within. 

Speaking Capitalism into Existence

CreativeMiketheRapper’s not afraid to speak his mind. The good thing for the listener is, his mind is always trying to solve Black America’s problem - capital. 

"Born in the summer of crack rocks," few people can craft a message of empowerment while telling their true story without falling into the common traps of the genre. The result, for those rappers, is a generic playlist called an album. 

But Black Jesus is a statement to society. 

A fuck you, we got us statement to the slave-owning founding fathers. But forget them. Mike’s message is really speaking to his culture. He’ll lead the way to independence from systemic oppression. The rapper will convert you into a believer. 

Just watch. Just listen. You can feel it. It smells like money. It tastes like success. 

Own the Block, Black Man
Financial freedom is what the Black Jesus EP preaches. True liberation from the streets and the struggles. 

Think of a proverbial perspective mixed with a ‘90’s southern wordsmith charisma, and you’ve got CreativeMiketheRapper’s style. It’s the opposite of commercial bubblegum rap made for the Billboard charts. 

"Fuck your favors," the rapper pops his shit on the third track without worrying about the Oppressors’ feelings and opinions, but he addresses his deep concerns for his nation directly. CreativeMike questions the dedication of Black America's leadership to setting African Americans free. 

As a free Black Man, Creative Mike speaks to those who feel inferior based on the artificial history taught to the "urban" demographic. In the track titled "Tribble Hall," his verbal lineage is similar to the great poets of African American history, yet his sharp tongue has the swagga of modern menace to stereotype-driven society. 

Visionary Verses
With an effortless flow, Mike crafts the vision he sees for you, even when you can’t see it for yourself. He tells you it’s in you. 

The Black Jesus EP is so forward-thinking, he habitually reminds you that the time is now to walk the walk.

No other artist is as dedicated to devoting his creativity to the cause of changing his community. CreativeMiketheRapper’s sole purpose is to show the trappers how to run self-made corporations. Not flipping packs or pounds but profitable products and services into serious cash. 

The Ep’s attention to details, it’s progressive message, and it’s comfort addressing racism put it an orbit of its own. Black Jesus rotates around the star power of CreativeMiketheRapper’s slick wordplay that enlightens your universe.

Megaciph is a socially conscious writer using his music to address social issues, advance progressive thinking and heal himself. A veteran, a husband, a father, a home chef and a voice for the voiceless Megaciph carries the banner of peace throughout his work and life. Through his music selections and the writings we are transported to a place of deep feeling thereby allowing the process of healing to begin.
In 2006 he self published his first solo album, The Graduate Program. In 2008 Megaciph enrolled at The New School University to begin post graduate studies in Nonprofit Management. Three years later in 2011, he self published his sophomore solo album, Migration of the Soul’d Kind and completed his M.S. Nonprofit Management with a focus on Arts and Culture.

From November 2010 until March 2013 Megaciph founded and hosted The Vital Movement in Manhattan's Lower East Side; a weekly open mic/concert event that provides independent artists with a viable community for sharing their art. As an independent artist and promoter Megaciph put together hundreds of shows, gave thousands of artists a stage, and brought in talent from as far north as Toronto and as far south as Zimbabwe. At the same time he was working full time at the Harlem Children’s Zone as a teaching artist; teaching NYC youth to write poetry, rap music and the finer points of performance. Megaciph holds a BS in Composition and Rhetoric, with a minor in Music Management, 2006, from Georgia State University and a Master’s in nonprofit management, 2010, from The New School University.

In 2014 Megaciph published CIVILiAM; an album inspired by his four years of service in the USMC. The album is filled with true stories and anecdotes from his tours in Okinawa, Cuba and service here in the states. With plans for the next few albums already brewing for an ever growing body of work Megaciph has stayed a consistent force in the Hip-Hop universe; releasing his first mixtape in 2015 The Now and Later Mixtape vol. 1 quickly followed by the 14 track collaboration with producer James Data titled CodeSwitching which landed Megaciph a coveted distribution deal on the AWAL record label, and the journey into sound continues. Through the pandemic Megaciph pens and publishes multiple singles and two more albums between 2018 and 2022 tackling the issues of the time from the Black Lives Matter uprising on the single BLM: America In Style, the COVID19 pandemic and numerous other social issues on the Steve Wallace produced album Dirty South Chronicles, and of course the attempted coup of 2020 on the album CHAKRAS 2.0. 
Stepping into 2024 Megaciph is poised for an industry takeover as the popular wave shifts back to the positive/uplifting music this artist is known for. His forthcoming release FREAKWHENSEE crosses generations and bends genres delivering messages of daily life, fatherhood and the big stage dreams of an independent rap artist who won’t stop, don’t stop! #hiphoppapoppa
